Dean R. Forgey, MD

Dr Forgey is a specialist in corneal transplantation and cataract surgery. He also has expertise in treating conditions involving the anterior segment of the eye, including infections, foreign bodies and injuries.

Dr Forgey was born and raised in north-central Nebraska. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He attended the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and received his Doctor of Medicine degree with High Distinction. He completed his internship at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha. His ophthalmology residency was completed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. This was followed by fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr Forgey is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been practicing medicine in Lincoln since completing his education in 1991.
